Our Story
Physics Painting LLC was founded by myself, Josh Byler, in July of 2018. I started doing this work back in 2012 for my grandpa’s construction company and fell in love with it immediately. Back in my hometown of South Bend, my grandpa’s company was known for their extremely high level of quality and professionalism. He wanted to make sure that all of his workers treated his customers with the utmost respect, and provided them with a finished product that would be unmatched by the competition. It’s this same mentality that I use to run Physics Painting.
As I mentioned before, my painting career started at my grandpa’s in high school and continued through the college summers. After college, I tested out the corporate world and went to work for none other than Sherwin-Williams. It was fun and challenging, but I quickly realized that I actually enjoyed using the paint more than trying to sell it. After about six months, I left Sherwin-Williams and began working for my grandpa again.
It was during this next year that the idea of starting my own business became an evermore enticing pursuit. While at Sherwin, I saw that there was huge potential to start a painting company in Indianapolis. Painters that seemed unmotivated, or cared little about the quality of their work, were getting jobs left and right. I thought that if they could do it, then I would surely be able to take over the Indianapolis market.
Thus, Physics Painting was born. I was confident that our work would be unmatched, and that the knowledge I gained through my education from business school and working for Sherwin- Williams would set us far above the competition. After the first couple of months, it was clear that the only thing separating us from success was our willingness to persevere. If we could make it through that first year, then we could do anything.
It’s my love of the work and working with our customers that allows me to give 110% in everything that we do. I pride myself on being the most honest business owner so that our customers can sleep soundly at night.
